It provides good exercise for your heart and lungs. It gives your mind a serious break (everyone needs them!) At times your mind is processing a million different things at a time. You would get tired too!
I have always felt that it allows an individual to find an ability to deal with stress in a better fashion. By being able to find your “center”, a place that allows you be calm in stressful situations you body is able to handle stressful situations in a better fashion.
