Hi!! Not a problem! Its so good to have a list, I know I way overbought on some things with my first, but now that I have 6 under my belt I finally have it down, lol.
Diaper Bag- big one to start, but also a small one for short trips out!!
Diapers (Cloth or disposable)- I recommend Huggies or Pampers!
    Wipes- Pampers are the moistest!!
Bottles (if you arent breastfeeding)- I recommend Avent or Playtex DropIns!!
Onesies (atleast 8 to 10) I recommend carters 0-3m ones to start out
    Pants ( 4 or 5) Also carters
Footed Sleepers- These are lifesavers, have several onhand !
Recieving Blankets- I say that 8 or so is just perfect
Burp cloths- The best invention ever!! Have atleast 10, (I recommend using the Gerber cloth diapers as burp cloths, they are much thicker!!
Cute Outfits- I now limit myself to 10 for 0-3m
    Car Seat- I recommend Graco
Stroller- Also Graco, fits the carseat!!
Pack N’Play- Get one w/ bassinet on top, GREAT to have!!
Swing- These are the best inventions ever. My favorite is the Papasan
    Bouncer- These are great!
Boppy- Its a personal preferance, I use mine all the time!!
Baby tub- I recommend Secure Comfort (the blue and green) Safety 1st
Bibs- Starting out about 6, great for spit-up!!
Toys- Really dont need alot, but maybe 3 or 4 newborn and up ones.
Diaper Genie- I recommend the 2nd, works wonders for dirty diapers
Nursery furniture/bedding!- Dont spend a crap load of money, you can get a good quality crib, changing table and bedding from Target, or even Babies R’ us without spending a fortune!!
I think that pretty much covers it, I also recommend Johnson and Johnson lavendar bath products, or Huggies Grins and Giggles. Oh and washcloths and hooded bath towels. And socks, and hats, and if you want mittens so they dont scratch their face!!
Okay think that is finally it!!
    Best of Luck to you!!

the most essential items are: a safe place to sleep, season appropriate clothes, and diaper changing supplies, and bottles and formula(should you plan to go that route).
things that make life easier: cloth diapers(they work WAY better than burp cloths), infant tub, rocking chair/glider, boppy, knit cotton blankets(the best for swaddling), shirts with easy boob access(if you’re gonna breast feed), and some help around the house.
    congradulations on the baby!

Newborns don’t really need much. Most of the “must haves” are products that companies would like you to think you have to have so they can sell them to you.
    My “must haves” for baby:
food and delivery method (had two breasts alrady, no other purchases needed)
clothing (needs are pretty minimal, wants may be much more)
shelter, place to sleep (for us, that was in bed with mom and dad)
pee and poop management (cloth or disposable diapers, or EC plan)
carseat (if your child will be riding in a car)
There’s lots of other things that are nice to have, but if you boil it down to true essentials, that’s what I’m left with.

You should have a good supply of your disposable products on hand and to me the most important item would be a baby safety monitor. That’s just puts parents at ease. After all, having a baby is a wonderful thing and you need to look at items that will help with reducing stress and anxiety in your life.

this is a pretty good website to use as a guideline:http://babyproducts.about.com/od/prepari
but just a few essentials are:
diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, receiving blankets, footed pajamas, basinet, basinet sheets, infant car seat, changing table,
breast pump (if you choose to breastfeed), the Red Cross sells little medical kits that have nail clippers, a thermometer, a bulb for suctioning out any blockages in the nose/mouth( this kit is very handy), dreft laundry detergent, bottles to store breastmilk or formula,
crib, crib sheets,… just to name a few… the website gets pretty detailed. :)
