What Are The Best Natural Digestive Aids?

  • Sharebar

Seems that I’m punished after most meals and have intestinal distress and a quick trip to the restroom takes place (mostly in the evening). I know I have lactose (milk) interolance, so I take aid for that, and fried foods can set me off.
What natural herbs, supplements, dietary aids are available from the natural vitamin / health food stores that seem to help with the digestive process? I’m tired of loosing what nutrician I am ingest and being angry with myself for even eating. Seems like I keep getting punished for eating over & over.
Any suggestions?

The best digestive aid I have ever seen is Mona Vie. This is a mixture of 100% fruit juices that you take on an empty stomach morning and evening. It is rather pricey but if you are looking for the best you will ever try, take this. If you need intestinal bacteria, eat organic yogurt. It has the beneficial bacteria that you need for proper digestion.

Since you are lactose intollerant, the thing that helps me the most is to take natural enzyme supplements. Any supplement with lactase (the enzyme that breaks down milk proteins) will help with digestion and help with cramping if you have any. Taking them on a regular basis will help also natural yogurts that contain acidopholis (spelling?) will help.

One of the best things you can do is to eat a piece of live food with each meal…a carrot, apple, piece of celery (fresh food). Fresh food has enzymes that cooked food and packaged food does not have that help us to digest our food. You should also be taking a fiber supplement every day also. I recommend Fiber Choice chewables. Benefiber chewables has aspartame in them and no one should ever consume aspartame. Also add an acidophilus supplement. All these things should help. God bless!!

Ginger and peppermint do it for me. Senna if you’re constipated later on.

You need to get your gut replenished with the good bacteria. Make sure it is a product that will insure delivery of live bacteria. Good products contain fructooligosaccharides.
Make sure you are drinking adequate water, too.
Shaklee puts out a natural product that I’ve seen work for some people. The biggest thing you have to do is make sure you don’t give up looking for a solution. We all deserve to be healthy!

Chlorophyll is one and bromelain is another. Bromelain is found in the core of pineapple.

Punished? You’re SUPPOSED to poop after you eat! It’s natural. You sound normal to me.
