Blood Pressure Monitor Review

The Stand-Up Lifesource Blood Pressure Monitor UA-853AC – One Real Workhorse of a Monitor

Some of you, that follow my reviews, may have already figured out that blood pressure monitor reviews are one of my favorite products to report on. After years in the medical product review profession, I know first-hand the dangers of not taking care of your health HCL (Health Care Laziness), as I like to call it, is all too common and it can literally rob you of years from your life.

Many older people depend on blood pressure monitors to maintain good cardiovascular health. It is not, therefore, so much that I enjoy reviewing blood pressure monitors, as it is knowing how absolutely vital they can be for so many people. Frankly, I believe there should be a blood pressure monitor in every home.

Well enough of the sermon, we are here to review the Lifesource UA-853AC Premium Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor. Because I travel a lot, I like to review the more portable type BP monitors. Nonetheless, I have to admit that the larger monitors, like the UA-853AC are more accurate and have more features. This Lifesource Monitor has every feature that you could possibly want or need in a home pressure monitor.

The Lifesource UA-853AC Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor is a rock, and as dependable or accurate as any model we have tested. This monitor is definitely as cheap as some other available models; but I would not consider it expensive either. If you consider all of the features this unit has to offer, it should be considered a very good value.

First and foremost on the unit’s list of features is Lifesource’s excellent Irregular Heartbeat Detection (IHD) technology. IHD is extremely useful in allowing users to receive early warnings about possible arrhythmia issues. Irregular heartbeat conditions detected by the monitor can then be discussed with a physician and further diagnosed. Words cannot convey how important this technology could be for many users. In only a few years, the IHD technology has already saved countless lives with early detection. The earlier a condition is detected and diagnosed, the better the chances are for a positive result.

Another very useful feature of this particular monitor is the TimeWise system of automatically differentiating between morning and evening BP readings. The Lifesource monitor can also tell you the averages for both morning and evening readings. This is very helpful in examining dosage levels. If you take medication for hypertension, then you know that morning and evening dosages will often times vary. When it’s time for your next doctor’s appointment, your doctor will be pleased with these reports.

The machine can also be programmed with 3 different alarm times; to remind you that you need to check your pressure (a very handy feature for the slightly absent minded like me). It also has a logging feature that stores your last ninety pressure check results. These logging and reporting results, enable your doctor better gauge the effectiveness of any potential medications. The display is very large and extremely easy to read (you won’t be reaching for your reading glasses for this one), and display results are easy to understand.

The Lifesource UA853AC is a solidly built machine designed for years use. Lifesource offers a full lifetime warranty on its BP monitors.

Overall the UA-853AC Lifesource Monitor is a well made, first-rate, quality Blood Pressure Monitor that does everything we can expect a monitor to do. This monitor is not really designed to be portable, so taking it with you on quick trips won’t be as convenient as with some smaller units.

This Lifesource Monitor is a dependable and reliable Blood Pressure Monitor that will provide you with very accurate monitoring results, and should serve you for many years with proper care and use. The UA-853AC monitor is a very good value for the money. This  monitor has everything you need and nothing you don’t. This workhorse just works, and works well.
