    I haven’t had personal experience of the therapeutic effects of electrical muscle stimulation, although I do understand that EMS can bring benefit to the strength, circulation, muscle tone and recovery of muscles such as the glutes, quads and calves.
    EMS has also been used to prevent and relieve muscle cramps.
    However, being a massage therapist myself, it does seem that the human element does bring an added quality to a muscle treatment session as opposed to the client simply applying the contacts and plugging in .. but EMS is definitely a desirable addition to being tended to by a human being
