Natural Sedatives That Do Not Build A Tolerance?

As free as health care is in Canada, it’s not always easily accessed. I’ve had some strange leg problems (muscle twitching, shaking, discomfort and in extreme cases charly horses) and no doctor seems to be able to tell me what it is.
I know three things for sure.
1) The shakiness etc gets worse the longer I’ve gone without sleep, even though it also PREVENTS sleep; counterproductive.
2) I impulsively tap my foot almost constantly.
3) Steaming hot showers mixed with some sort of store bought natural sedative has been the only solution thusfar. Nyquil or gravol mainly. The problem is, I’ve developed a tolerance to both and neither put me to sleep anymore.
Are there any other store bought items that would have a similar effect? I’m not looking for a 12 hour black out. Just enough to put me in a position where I must fall asleep.

    Sounds like you have RLS, Need a scrip for that. Try using melatonin or valarian root as natural type ways to help you sleep. Next time you get to the doc, ask about RLS.

    you could try taking Melatonin…….our own body makes it and secretes it …….it’s sold over the counter here in the U.S…. they work great for me http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/melat

    Sounds like RLS Restless leg syndrome. There are prescription products just for that problem. Ask your doc.
