Now if you need to get started on a glycemic index diet plan, the first thing you want to do is raid your cupboards pretty much. You want to have whole grain cereals and breads with a surety of getting sufficient fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Eating things like raw carrots, green and red pepper, celery, and other raw vegetables is going to be the most important thing.

Even if you just spent a single weekend eating nothing but raw vegetables, oats, and wheat, along with some fruits of course, then you are going to see the results. It is pretty amazing what following a glycemic index diet can do, and it is all going to be very much to your benefit.
