Induction Vs. Natural Vs. C-section….?

  • Sharebar

I was wondering what the differences in pain, healing, bonding, and in general are between these 3 types of births. I am going to be getting induced in 3 weeks (diabetic) and wondered if it is the best choice….thank you.

I was induced due to high blood pressure. I was past due so it was no biggie. I had already started having contractions, but they were so irregular that the midwife thought induction was best. I got started on pitocin. My epidural wore off and my body couldn’t handle all the pain so I had an emergency c-section. I slept thru the whole thing. I woke up once to see my baby and once in recovery, but not for long. I slept thru the remainder of the night. I didn’t even get to hold my baby until the next day. It was about a week before I could stand up straight. I had pain pills to help me get around. After a week I didn’t need them anymore. I’m not trying to scare you, but just tell you my story. It doesn’t matter how the baby arrives.. just that the baby is healthy and happy !! GOOD LUCK !!

if you need to be induced, that’s the best choice for you.
for the average woman with the average birth, the only way to go is natural.

I would never want a c-section and most would agree. The pain of having the baby is none but recovery and pain after is bad. With natural the pain is usually gone when you are holding your baby. Aside from any stitches.
Induction can be more painful but you still get to have a birth as opposed to surgery.
Natrual is always the best if possible. Painful yes but quick recovery and feeling of accomplishment.
I am hoping I wont need an induction. To me that would take the fun out of it all. Id like the surprise of “Oh, Im in labor lets go!!” as opposed to arriving at the time of my appointment.
To each their own. Induction is the closest thing to natural, you still get to physically HAVE your baby.
    Best of luck!!
