I use a combination of California Baby (their Calendula Cream, their Overtired and Cranky Spray (works great on his belly and legs when he’s getting irritated and trying to fight mid-day nap. I say, “Do you need some cranky spray?” and he’s already cracking a smile because he seems to really like it), and their 30 spf fragrance-free sunscreen) and Nature’s Baby Organics (lavender and chamomile wash, and lotion). The wash is very mild and pleasant smelling, and the lotion smells almost like roses. It’s made for extremely sensitive baby skin and I’ve been using it on my face at night. I didn’t know where to go at first so I bought these products at whole foods, but now I am seeing them in our Target and also at Gelsons (if you live in socal).

I too have become very concerned about the baby products I use, as well as the toys she has, the products I use to feed her, etc. All of these products can contain harmful BPA, parabens, pvc, phthalate, lead etc. California Baby and Nature’s Baby are both good brands for bath products but I also recommend you look at http://www.safemama.com. I have found this website to be very informative about what I should I be aware of in a range of products I use with my baby. This website provides cheat sheets for safe products from sunscreens, bath products, safe bottles etc, explanations for all of the harmful substances out there and links to other websites that sell safe baby items. Good Luck!

I have to agree with another person who commented about – they eat what you eat. Fruits, veggies, etc.., puree them yourself, and you’re done. My 2nd child rarely ate baby food at all – you could puree peas, carrots, green beans, just about anything.

J&J bought aveeno and they are sucking now too.
    This database is ok:http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse….

California Baby might be a good choice. You could also try Burt’s Bee products.

  7. Pediatricians mostly reccomend Aveeno.

    Aveeno is really good.

OK – the world has been devasted – there are no grocery stores – but you need to feed your baby – how would you do it?
The baby eats the same things you do – simple mash them, grind them, puree them, before you feed them. Don’t add extra salt or other spices.
