I generally get about 8 hours of sleep, going to bed at 9:30-10:00 and waking up at 5:45 for school. I usually take about half an hour to fall asleep and I stay in a deep sleep the entire time.
    1. Listen to music.
It is really good to listen to calm, relaxing, slow and quiet music while you are sleeping. It helps relax the mind.
    2. Meditation.
I dont do this regularly, but there are certain types of meditiation and yoga you can do while sleeping (mostly vocal and concentration exercises that are repetitive and relax your body).
    3. Temperature.
I can not sleep in a hot room, especially when after you’ve taken off all the covers you are still too hot. I sleep with my window open when it is 5 degrees outside. Although that is pretty cold, you can always get more blankets, and it feels much more cozy (plus your not sweating). It is reccomended by sleep doctors that you do this.
Try these, you’ll probably get a better sleep.

    about 9 hrs
drink warm milk before u go to bed – it relaxes the brain
exercise during the day but not near night time or else your brain thinks that it is time for you to exercise and may be ‘hyped’
listen to soft and calming music soon before you go to bed

how can you not sleep more than 7 hours?
i am so tired in the morning.
example: going to bed at like 1, how can you NOT sleep in until 11am? or later?
how could you wake up at 8 am and not be tired??? i dont understand.

Maybe 5 hours max…the reason is I suffer from TMJ an arthritis of my jaw…it affects me all the time. The pain in my jaw, legs, & back won’t let me sleep staight through the night….

  6. Hoot says:

Our biological clock tells us how much sleep we need and each body is different. If I don’t get seven or eight hours a night, I get somnolent during the day.
My significant other, on the other hand, has very little use or need for more than five or six hours of sleep per night.
If you need more, or less, you body will make arrangements with your mind, and you will have little say over the matter.
Unless you are a stay at home mother with a 10 month old child and a husband to care for. Then you should take naps when the baby does. You have too much responsibility not to be well rested.

I am 13 and I get about 7 hours of sleep a night, usually less though on school nights. I always say I want to go to bed at a specific time, but then I get so caught up in doing something around my house that I wind up going to bed about 2 or 3 hours later than I had wanted. then I get up so gosh darn early that I don’t get a lot of sleep. Sometimes I wake up a lot during the night, which of course deducts time from how much sleep you get. On the weekends, I get like 8 hours- because I don’t have to get up for anything.

  8. dreamer says:

Most of the time, about 6 hours :(
Not enough for my need, but I have no choice because of my heavy course load.
However, definitely don’t think that you have to get 8 hours of sleep every night in order to be “healthy”! In fact, according to this article below, people who sleep between 6.5 and 7.5 hours live the longest.http://www.time.com/time/health/article/
Hope you will find time to sleep a little more! :)

  9. Cowboylu says:
