    it varies from id say 20-23!! wish they stayed like that!!

    Easily 20 hours plus a day. This varies and will lessen as he/she gets older.

    give it time soon youll be saying why wont my child have naps( while your sat there exhausted with all your household belongings up six foot or beyond!)

    When my daughter was a newborn, she was only awake long enough to eat and get a diaper change. she slept the rest of the time.

    usually they will sleep for a bout 20 out of 24 hours to begin with

    enjoy it while they sleep for 23 hours out of 24! mines now 1 and she sleeps for about ten. i sleep for about 5!

    Ideally they should be sleeping over 20 hours a day!!
    There are always exceptions to the rule of course

    depends on each child, really…
    i remember when my brohter was a new born, he would easily sleep 20 hours a day!!!! he would basically just wake up to feed, then go right back to sleep….
    my daughter was never like that, she would sleep 6 hours a night, + about 4 hours of nap during the day…..
