Fibromyalgia Patients: Natural Healing With Diet And Exercise?

I realize its a controversial medical problem, as it is looked at as syndrome or even a catch all disease. But I have many of the symptoms and other conditions that go hand in hand with most fibro. patients. I even have three relatives with fibro… I’m just waiting on a confirmed diagnosis. In the meantime I’m looking for ways to relieve the pain and sleeping thru the night. Since I don’t have the proper diagnosis my doctor has prescribed me anti-inflamatories which don’t seem to be helping at all. What are exercises and dieting tips could you give me to help relieve pain and assist with sleeping?

    Learn to RELAX! Learn meditation and deep breathing and whatever you have to do to relax for at least 20 min a day. Walking is the best thing to do as it will get you tired so you can sleep better. Sleep is when you heal and regenerate and unfortunately most of us don’t get good quality sleep. Don’t believe the juice fads – sugar is an inflammatory agent and will not help matters at all and may hurt you more. Detox diet is great – eat organic meats and veggies and try to cut out carbs and all processed foods and sugar. Meds only hurt you more – supplements are the smarter way to go – a good multi, vit c, vit e, folic acid and magnesium are some important ones. Try to detox your life – be careful with cleaning supplies, makeup, lotions, cooking methods and oils, etc. Don’t use any artificial fragrances like perfume and candles. Get massages if you can.

    i also have fibro and feel your pain. i just started drinking concentrated cherry juice. they say it helps. there is also another juice You can get that costs somewhere around 50 dollars a bottle but im unsure what its called i just know it works. its all natural with a few different berries. natural health stores carry it and independent dealers. that’s my next route im taking. tired of only dulling the pain and being crabby all the time from the meds.
