My daugher had some crazy changes when she started walking but her Dr. said it was all normal. She started sleeping longer at night (~12 hours) and took one 2 hr. nap during the day. She also stopped talking around this time for about 4 months and now at 20 months she talks non-stop and you can understand almost every word!
Her Dr. said that walking can change a lot of things in a baby or there might be almost no change at all; all kids are different. Most babies will start eating and sleeping more b/c they are burning off more “steam”.

My daughter has always been a good sleeper, so walking did not affect her sleeping habits.
My son has always been a horrible sleeper. He did get better about taking naps when he began cruising, since then he has taken a 2 hour nap most days (and I used to be lucky if he slept 30 minutes!). He also started sleeping through the night around that time too
i go for a walk or go for a drive in the car and i find that it helps my daughter to sleep at night.
Not yet for us. My son is 14 1/2 months and just started walking and still wakes about 5 times, sigh.
do you mean when toddlers start walking, they sleep more….it depends on your child. All children need a bedtime routine that must be embedded by 6 months, if not you may face nighttime feeding and sleeplessness for years to come. If your toddler is not sleeping through the night try taking him for a stroll through the neighborhood, give him a bath,10-15minutes playtime, bottle if he is not weaned or water, and put him down preferably with white noise.
Oh how everyone swore this would help my son sleep better! How I wish it were true! My son started walking at the end of 14 months. He has never been a great sleeper. And although he does sleep through the night once in awhile, its certainly not all the time, and I don’t think it has anything to do with walking
Probably more to do with the gentle sleep training method I use!
during pregnancy is what you mean right?? as for myself yes it did i walked my whole pregnancy and after i had my son he slept through the night from the night he was born to months after bringing him home and walking also makes labor MUCH easier!!! good luck & best wishes
