Are There Any Natural Ways To Cure A Migraine?

  • Sharebar

I get them a lot, and really bad. But I don’t have health insurance, and over the counter medicine doesn’t help. Are there natural supplements or exercises or anything that help?

most migraines are sexual fear based, dislike of being driven, resisting the flow of life. the best remedy for this is regular masturbation

I feel for you. I’ll be 70 in January and have only had one migraine in my life. My daughter gets them all the time. As a nurse,I can tell you the best way for me to never get another one is knowing the very first signs. They usually start in the same area every time. If you can learn to recognize that first twinge, take an aspirin or tylenol right away. Turn down all of the lights around you and if you can, rest quietly. Dont watch tv-or do anything else that will tax your eyesight. Do some research on teas and have them available. There are some that can help to calm you and not let the migraine take over. It will take a little while to gather together the things that work for you, but it beats having a migraine. The trick is taking the aspirin or tylenol at the very first sign. You may not have any pain at that point. The idea is to head the pain off before it can get worse.

Drink lots of water. 90% of head aches/ migranes are caused by dehidration. You may not think your dehidrated but if you have a headache chances are you are. Try for about a week actully drinking 8 glasses of water aday. See if this helps, if not see a doctor.

First, I like to say that it’s very important to keep a journal of what you eat or drink. We say we have a headache but their are several types. Cluster, Tension, simple, to name a few, now tension could be localize above the eyes but what I like for you to do is look for the triggers, which is what’s the cause. Drinking plenty of water, try living a stressfree life(easier said than done). Cut back on caffeine which is a big cause of headaches, so if you drinks lots of pop, stop! If you eat lots of chocolate stop! Trying reduce this as much as possible and write down everything you put in your mouth ; breakfast, lunch, and dinner even snacks. Notice, when you are feeling the migraine or headache approaching, and looking at you journal to see what foods/drinks might have triggered the discomfort and began eliminating and changing your eating/drinking habits. Now, I also want to encourage you to start visiting a massage therapist in your area, having him/her focus on cervical/occipital areas. There are muscle in our neck and face that are densed/tension and needs relaxing. Have them work on all your sinus points because this is all considered the upper respiratory . Remember to keep a journal, change eating and drinking habits and increase water intake it’s a must o.k. Seek support to reduce your discomfort. therapist#one

food allergys are associated with migraine headaches. The herb feverfew is good for headaches, but you may need to avoid some offending foods to get relief. The most common allergenic foods are wheat and other grains that contain gluten, dairy, corn, corn syrup is in everything.artificial ingredients, may be a culprit.

Many people have had relief from migraine headaches by eating two teaspoons of honey at each meal. This will also prevent an attack in many people.
Another effective means is to use natural apple cider vinegar . Equal parts of natural apple cider vinegar and water should be placed in a small pan on the stove, allowing it to boil slowly. When the fumes begin to rise from the pan, lean your head over it until the fumes are comfortably strong. Inhale for approximately 50 to 80 breaths. This generally alleviates the headache considerably, if not entirely.
Moisten your fingertips with Pure Almond Carrier Oil then add two drops of Lavender Essential Oil. In a circular motion, gently massage your temples, the hollows at the sides of your eyes, behind your ears, and over your neck.

You may think this is off the wall but smoking marijuana, even just a little bit can seriously defeat a migraine headache. I am no advocate for drug use, but after being on every drug there is for a migraine, one hit will demolish a migrane headache. It is a vasodialator and it takes the pressure off of the brain.

if your looking for natural relief you may try homeopathic remedies like migraine relief. Also you may try the herb feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) which has been used for centuries as a folk remedy for headache, migraine, arthritis, pain, and fever in Europe.
