I hear from some natural health leaders that there are chemicals in most sunscreens that are very bad for you.

    The truth to the matter is, yes it is dangerous and very harmful. Think about it, sunblock is loaded with chemicals and with your skin being porous, it absorbs these chemicals. The skin doesn’t choose what it wants to absorb or not, it just absorbs. With these chemicals in your body, your kidneys and liver have to work harder to get rid of these poisons and toxins and they may even accumulate inside you and overtime result in some other disease.
    An article by a doctor who’s against sunblock commented that sunblock making companies are making people believe that they NEED sunblock or they’d develop skin cancer if they stay out in the sun for too long. This is just a scam to get people to buy their products and what they don’t reveal is that, time and again it has been proven that the ingredients in sunblock actually cause or promote skin cancer.
    Best is, go without it. Wear long sleeve tops or pants. That’s the safest you can do for your body.

    No way it just prevents you from getting burnt!

    Not sure about for humans, but I know that sunscreen being released into the oceanic environment is a primary factor in what causes coral bleaching.

    well… honestly, i don’t really think so o__O;;
    i mean… it’s protecting you from the sun, and i wouldn’t think that people would put chemicals that could harm the consumer…

    I’ve heard this too plus it makes my skin feel strange, anyhow, that’s one of the reasons I don’t use it that much, just if I know I’m gonna be out in the sun all day or something. Otherwise, I wear long sleeve shirts, hats, sunglasses, my windows are tinted, I have 3 sun umbrellas, blah blahblah, plus I try to limit unncessary sun exposure, people who tan outside a lot are INSANE. but hey your only young once right?
